Handmade Vera Pins

So one of the things that I ordered were these really pretty, fun Vera flower pins. I ordered one in Cupcakes Pink and one in Mod Floral Blue. I have a bunch of Cupcakes Pink bags, so I am excited to add it to my bags. I ordered the Mod Floral Blue one to wear to work, which might happen today, or maybe this weekend.

My flash wasn't working, so my pictures didnt turn out that great. These were made by Cynthia and you can check out the other color flowers she has at her facebook page. Click here for the link. These are really fun and I am so glad that I ordered them!

Back from Vacation!

I had a great time in Northern California this weekend. Here are some photos.

Amber picked up a Paprika Bucket Tote and Hope Garden Taxi Wallet for me at the preview party/sale last month and had it waiting for me when I got there. She also bought me a Beach Towel! I love it! She also had collected a couple of water bottles.

My new Bucket Tote was perfect for the Pacific baseball game, since our colors are orange and black.

On Vacation!

I have a few days off of work and I am heading out of town! I am going to take a few days off from blogging too. I might mobile upload a few pics, but I can't make any promises.

I ordered a few things from a couple of crafters who make their own stuff out of Vera fabric and I know at least one of them should be here when I get back. Can't wait to see what I ordered!

Mother's Day Catalogue Pictures

I decided to take pictures of the catalogue to share with anyone who might not have received it. I love the layout of the catalogue. Some of my pictures didn't turn out so great, with the flash on I got a glare and without it some turned out a little blurry.

Vera Bradley Signtings!

I had 4 Vera Bradley sightings tonight at work, but I didn’t have my BlackBerry with me.

I saw an Emma in Poppy Fields, Hobo in Java Blue, Handbag in Chelsea and Small Tic Tac in Mod Floral Blue. The Emma bag is pretty cute. She didnt have the drawstring pulled tight, she had the top open. It looks like it would probably be too small for me, but it would be fun to have one!

Vera and Mother's Day

Vera Bradley seems to be doing everything in their power to remind me that Mother's Day is around the corner. I have bought my Mom a lot of her Vera Bradley collection. She has picked up some pieces along the way, but they make sure great Birthday and Christmas gifts that I always seem to be picking something up for her. The last thing I got her was an ornament from the Roseville Signature Store. I am sure she will read this today and tell me that she doesnt need anymore Vera, but maybe she will surprise me and there will be something she wants.

I am going to visit my Grandma next week on my trip to Sacramento. It would be fun to take her to the signature store and maybe get a purse. A Hipster or Mini Hipster might work perfect for her.

UPDATE: When I got to work today there was a Vera Bradley Mother's Day catalogue on my desk. It is a really nice catalogue, makes it so tempting to buy more stuff.

New Nylon - Meet Me in Paris

The New Nylon Collection "Meet me in Paris" is available online now! This time around they did Black, Khaki and Turquoise in a cool cobblestone quilting pattern. I can't decide if I like the nylon collections. I have never bought anything in nylon although I have been tempted before. I kind of like the Petite Hobo.

Teased for loving Vera

Someone started a discussion about getting teased for carrying Vera bags and it made me laugh. I didn’t realize that it happened to other people too! My friends have come to realize that it is just part of who I am. Sometimes they will tease about how many I bring with me on a trip or that I get so excited about visiting a Signature Store.

My coworkers think that I am a crazy bag lady! Haha. When another box arrives in the mailroom they can’t believe I ordered more stuff. When I carry a different bag everyday, they ask how many I have. When I say I have to go grab my purse for lunch, they refer to it as my grandma bag. But it is all in good fun.

But along with the teasing and joking people also say to me that they wish that they had something that they loved as much as I love Vera Bradley bags. I don’t think that I have ever loved something as much as I love my Vera Bradley bags. Vera Bradley bags make me happy, so even if I do have to deal with a little teasing every once and while, it is totally worth it!

Vera Bradley Signature Store - Roseville, Ca

The Roseville Signature Store (sometimes I call it the Sacramento Signature Store) is the one that I am going to get to go visit in less than two weeks! I still haven’t seen the new summer colors in person, so I think that I will just wait until I am in Sacramento to go see them.

My first time going to Roseville store was with my friend Alissa! We met in Roseville and she had her son Jake with her. I think there was a specific reason I that I really wanted to go. Maybe stuff had gone on sale and I wanted to check it out. I do remember what Alissa got! A Peacock Small Cosmetic Bag.


The Roseville Signature Store is about the same size as the one in Hawaii. It is on a corner and has two doors. The store has a great set up and I love the way all the Vera’s are displayed. The last time I went there was just after Christmas time and I picked up an ornament for my Mom. I can’t wait to go back soon!

New Shopper Tote

The new Shopper Tote is available starting today (April 9-23). This one is in Sitting in a Tree. I got the one in Night Owl a while back, but I don't use it very often. I think that it is too stiff. I like the Market Totes better.

Today I swapped out my bag again. I am using my Symphony in Hue Saddle Up purse. I am going to a concert after work, so it will be nice since I wont have to carry it since I can wear across my body.

Does anyone have a Mod Floral Blue Tech Case that they want to sell? I was going to ask on the FB fab page, but thought I would ask you all first. I really want one for work since the colors are the Padres colors and I need something to carry my cell phone in when I dont have pockets. It doesnt have to be new. I only want to pay about $10. I know this is a shot in the dark, but thought that it would be worth a try. Thanks!

No time to change purses today

I was running late to work today and didn't have time to change my purse. It kind of worked out though because yesterdays bag goes with todays outfit.

I do have exciting news though! I won the NCAA bracket pool that I put together for my Breat Cancer 3 Day fundraiser! I won $120, but I am going to donate half of it. The other half I am probably going to use to buy a Knot Just a Clutch! I will probably wait until I can get it at the Signature Store in Sacramento at the end of the month. Yay!

A different bag everyday

I normally don't switch out my bags too often. Every once and a while I will try to match my outfit or switch my bag because it is more functional for what I am doing that day. This week I am going to try to use a different one everyday. So today to start it off I am using my Symphony in Hue, Reversible Tote and it is turned inside out. Should be a fun colorful week!

Finally ditched the boxes and water bottles

Today I finally put the Vera Bradley boxes and water bottles out with the recycling! Bye bye boxes! The water bottles were so cute, they were hard to part with. I still have the Totally Turq one, might give it to my mom since she likes that color.

Vera on QVC

Tomorrow (Friday) Vera Bradley is going to have two segments on QVC. They are at 10:00am and 8:00pm pacific time. In San Diego on Cox it is channel 25.

It is fun to watch because you get to hear the Vera rep talk about the bags and colors. The best part about seeing them on TV is that you can get a good idea of the size of the new bags, plus they show you the inside and all of the pockets so you really know what you are getting.

After the show airs they will post clips online.

I'm excited! I haven't seen the new stuff in person yet, so this is the next best thing!

I finally have something in Paprika!

So Amber was able to make it to the Signature Store in Sacramento yesterday! She picked up a Bucket Tote and Taxi Wallet for herself and she was able to get one for me too! I bought a Bucket Tote in Paprika and a Taxi Wallet in Hope Garden. I always liked Paprika, but never could commit to buying a bag in that color. I don't wear a lot of orange, but the good thing about Paprika is that it has some other colors in it, so I wont have to wear orange. My college colors are black and orange, so it will be a good bag for when we go to games and alumni stuff. I plan on taking it to the Pacific baseball game in April!
