So I had another great find on craigslist, an Anastasia Villager! I think that I like finding these old bags more than I like the new line that is coming out. Is that bad to say?
I went back and forth on whether or not to purchase it, because I didn’t know if I would like the style or color. The color is kind of dark and some of you will have to forgive me, because it looks kind of like an “old lady bag” as my coworkers like to say. What finally made me get it was the fact that I remembered that my friend Alex owed me a Vera Bradley bag for joining his relay team for the San Diego Rock n Roll marathon. They had their team of 4 ready to go, but then one of the girls got a job in DC and wouldn’t be here for the marathon. So Alex half jokingly told me that if I joined Team MADness and ran the marathon that he would get me a Vera Bradley bag. Well I wanted this one, so this is what he got me. I probably would have done the marathon (my part was only 6 miles) anyways, but it is always nice to have a little incentive and what better incentive for a Vera addict than a new Vera bag! Update: My friend Alex wrote a book about our relay team: The Finish Line.
This time I had to drive about 30 minutes to pick up the purse in Chula Vista. The last two times it was an hour away, so this was a big improvement. It probably wouldn’t have taken as long if I didn’t go right after work when everyone was commuting. Chula Vista is south of San Diego on the way to the boarder. I told my coworkers that was where I was going to go to pick up the bag and one of them told me that if I got to Mexico I went too far…haha…very funny. I am good with directions, haven’t got lost once while picking up a Vera.
I am kind of surprised how much I really like this bag! It seems like the perfect size! I can put so much inside. It has 6 slip in pockets plus the double pocket on the outside that has a slip in and a velco flap. I wasn’t so sure about the pattern from pictures online, but I really like it! I like the black background with the reds, blues and greens. I also like that the boarder isn’t floral. Plus it is in great condition, looks almost new. I did find a skittle in one of the pockets, haha. I am really excited to use it today!
I would really be missing out if I wouldn’t have purchased it. I cant wait to find more good deals on craiglist, in San Diego they seem to be few and far between.
