From My Readers Friday - Courtney's Vera Bradley Quilt

So I actually get quite a bit of emails from readers, which I think is a lot of fun.  I know sometimes it might take me a day or two...or three to get back to you depending on how busy I am, but I really do like getting email from you all!  And once and a while you will send in great photos that are Vera related and I try to share all of them on the blog.  Well I was thinking that maybe every Friday I will start featuring some of those photos with a post I will call From My Readers Friday.  We will see if this lasts or not, mostly it will depend on if emails keep rolling in...so feel free to email me at ohmyvera@gmail.com.  Not everything will be able to be posted on the blog, but I will try my best to post as many of them as possible.   So let's kick off my first From My Readers Friday with some photos of an amazing Vera Bradley quilt that Courtney emailed to me.  Her mother made her a beautiful quilt using Very Berry Paisley & Pink Elephants material along with some coordinating non Vera Bradley material.  I really love the colors!  You can really tell her mom did a great job making the quilt.  I love special handmade gifts like this!  My mom made me a quilt when I graduated from college and it is one of my favorite gifts.   Thanks for sharing Courtney!

Restyled Vera Bradley Wristlet

Oh happy day! I received some PDF's of the new styles...I just need to take photos so that I can post them on the blog.  Didn't want to make you wait too long though, so I went ahead and took a photo of the newly restyled Wristlet! I hope to have all of the other photos up by the end of the week, so keep checking back for more! The new wristlet includes slots for cards.  The photo refuses to to upload right side up, so just tilt your head...or the computer screen.  Sorry about that!

Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays!  I hope everyone is enjoying the holidays.  I am so blessed to have amazing family and friends.  I am really enjoying being in California spending time with all of them! 
I picked up a Rhythm & Blues Ornament for my Mom this year since she collects Vera Bradley ornaments.  It is sitting on top of the other ornaments.  I love the way this looks on her dining room table.

A Colorful Day - April 14, 2012

I have ALWAYS wanted to go to Vera Bradley's A Colorful Day.  It is an all day event filled with Vera Bradley!!! Sounds like paradise to me!  They have announced more information about this year's event which will be on April 14, 2012 in Las Vegas!  I so wish that I could go, but we have a work event that day that I have to go to.  I couldn't be more bummed.  I love Vera Bradley and Las Vegas, so it would have been a perfect trip!

Home For The Holidays

Perfect Laundry Coin Holder

I went to do laundry last weekend after getting home from my trip and I only had enough quarters to do two loads.  This is the first place I have lived (besides the college dorms) where I have had to pay for laundry and this was the first time I ran out of quarters! So instead of getting one roll, this time I got two so that they will last a long time...and I was able to finish all my laundry this weekend.  

I forget what this coin purse is called, but it is a patchwork and I love it!  I picked it up at the Princeton bookstore when I went to visit my cousin last Easter and it is the best for doing laundry because it will sit open on the washer without knocking over.  And it holds two rolls perfectly!

Vera Sighting

Ashley is in the Peace Corps with my sister and she recently went home to Wisconsin visit her family.  While she was there discovered a couple family members are Vera Bradley fans!  

Sneak Peek - Vera Bradley Fall 2012

Vera Bradley just did an online survey with potential colors for Fall 2012.  There were 6 colors on the survey, normally there are only 4 and those 4 are that seasons colors.  I assume that Vera Bradley would continue to release only 4 colors, but you never know, maybe they will release 6 in the fall.  We shall see. In the mean time, check out the colors!
