Vera Bradley Spring 2012 Preview - Sneak Peek of Ellie Blue, Rosy Posies, Island Blooms & Camellia
Vera Bradley has a survey that they send out to see what people think about the new colors. They just sent out the survey for the Spring 2011 colors, but I didn't get to take the survey because by the time I got home they had already collected enough information that it didn't need to ask me the questions. Bummer. But I have a couple of friends who were able to take it and sent me a photo so that I could share it with all of you! (I can't remember how I got on the list to do to survey. Probably from making purchases online or from signing up to receive their emails.) I can't even begin to think about Spring, I havent even experienced my first DC winter yet. I am not so sure about these prints, but isnt that what I say every time? Rosy Posies does kind of intrigue me though...there are patterns in the different parts of the flower. I think that it will probably look pretty neat in person. Ellie Blue has Elephants! I love that Vera Bradley keeps using elephants, so fun! What color from the spring are you most looking forward to?
I hope we get the Spring 2012 preview @ Columbia! We'll have to let you know when it comes in!

I hope so too!
ReplyDeleteOh...is it terrible of me to say that I don't like any of them at all?
ReplyDeleteOoh island blooms. :)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE Rosy Posies!
ReplyDeletehave to love the Ellie Blue just for the elephants alone!!!
ReplyDeleteLiking the Rosy Posies & the Island Blooms!
ReplyDeleteIsland Blossoms will be a cute one I think but I need to see them in person.....
ReplyDeleteHi Alison, Thanks for the preview! I am still loving the 2011 Vera patterns, but Camellia and Island Blooms look promising!
ReplyDeleteI like the Island Blooms and Ellie Blue for the elephants! Thanks for the preview!!
ReplyDeleteI am loving Ellie blue!!!
ReplyDeletelove ellie blue!
ReplyDeletelove Camellia! i just love the soft colors.
ReplyDeleteI like them all but I'm really drawn to Island Blooms!
ReplyDeleteMust they keep doing floral patterns? There are so many other images they could use. None of these are very original or fresh in my opinion...and I have much VB.
ReplyDeletePJ
Island Blooms for me!
ReplyDeletePeg F said...they are all very pretty but I love Ellie Blue and Camilla.
ReplyDeleteI already recently purchased various bags and accessories QVC and Vera Bradley had on Mocha Rouge, and also accessories for Purple Punch, the Alice bag and accessories in Java Blue. I have quite a few On the Go bags and totes and decided to try something different so I got the Alice bag. My collection definitely is growing; that's for sure!
Wow, new spring patterns just as we are seeing the new fall patterns!
ReplyDeleteMy take: I have been trying to find something in Citrus just for the elephants and was disappointed that Safari Sunset didn't have elephants in the pattern, so I think that makes Ellie Blue an automatic win for me (that and it also reminds me of Yellow Bird, which I loved).
Two of the patterns looks like throwbacks to previous patterns: Island Blooms has the same color palette as Peacock, and Rosy Poises has the same color palette as Mesa Red (also good, since my Mesa Red bags could use some company!)
Out of the four patterns, Camilla strikes me as the most original pattern, but somehow it doesn't seem like a spring pattern. It seems more wintery to me. That's not say that it isn't pretty. I think it will appeal to folks who like patterns like Watercolor, where the color and pattern are more subtle and aren't as loud as some of the patterns like Safari Sunset or Viva La Vera.
ellie blue <3 !!!!! i might have to go to vera rehab after this one!!!
ReplyDeleteNone of them. If I had to choose one, I'd pick Rosy Posies. I've spent so much on the Spring, Summer and Fall patterns that I'm okay with not liking any of these (or the Winter 2011) patterns. Thanks for posting a picture!
ReplyDeletePersonally I don' like any of them. Can you repost the 2011 winter patterns ? I just love Symphony In Hue, Blue Rhapsody, and Very Berry Paisley. My favorite is Symphony In Hue. They would have to have something really spectacular to get anything better than that. I thought Safaris Sunset might do it but I hate the orange in it. I do however like Happy Snails. I guess I am more into paisley than flowers but when people post their collections with all the different patterns and colors they all look so pretty together. I haven't been to an outlet store yet my husband and I are going in Aug when he is on vacation. I like a lot of color it makes me happy
ReplyDeleteIf you are looking for an old post, there is a search feature on the right hand side. Also if you scroll to the bottom on the right side there is a link to the top posts and the next season's colors are almost always there. Here is the link to the Winter 2011 pics: http://www.ohmyvera.com/2011/04/vera-bradley-winter-2011-preview-suzani.html
ReplyDeleteI like the new patterns; unfortunately, they are straying a bit far from classic Vera.
ReplyDeleteI'm in love w/ Island Blooms! Love the colors. Ellie Blue intrigues me. I'm viewing them from my iPhone so it's a little hard to tell will have to look from my pc when I get a chance. I always am on the fence when I see pics but usually like them better in person.
ReplyDeleteGoing to get an Ellie Blue tote tomorrow! Can't wait - I'm hoping it will match my Windsor Navy accessories!
ReplyDeleteStill a little disappointed they're not offering the wristlet as a preview item anymore :(
i love love looooove island blooms!
ReplyDeleteAllison - I LOVE your blog! I too am a Vera Bradley lover. I didn't get a chance to see the new patterns online before I went to my Vera store and mistakingly stumbled across Ellie Blue. The Mall in Columbia had a few wristlets in the Spring patterns, and I took full advantage! I absolutely love the Ellie Blue. The fact that it's on a navy background makes it even better - it won't get as dirty as some of the others! Thanks! Sarah
ReplyDeletei am not impressed w any of these except the rosey posies color. the others look like cheap knock off patterns. they all have boring white/yellow mundane flowers, and the colors are hidious. the trims are not even pretty. either you have some new designers who are totally off track, or your old designers are running out of ideas. vera you seriously need to bump up the quality and beauty of your fabrics. the only one that remotely meets MY standards for vera is the rosey posies color,it has elements of quality vera is known for. i wont be buying any of the other 3. will say money.
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone know how long the spring premire was going on... I bet I missed it and I am extremely bummed out...
ReplyDeletenext question... does anyone have any of the spring preview they would wish to sell ???
ReplyDeleteI have to say that I like the spring 2012 collection more than the fall 2011 collection. It's so hard to tell what any of the patterns really look like when viewing them in pictures instead of in person. Vera Bradley has a tendency to have vibrant, rich colors with exquisite detail, which can be hard to see on a computer screen or mobile phone, so I can't wait to see them in person. From what I can see in the pictures, Rosy Posies and Ellie Blue might be cute.
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting these! Not a huge fan of any yet, but VB patterns tend to grow on me over time.
ReplyDeletei love the mocha rouge and java blue right now those are my favorites. and i like the Ellie blue, that being my name and blue is my favorite color! i'm exited!
ReplyDeleteI like Island Blooms
ReplyDeleteI agree that they should use some other patterns besides the floral ones. I really don't care for any of the new patterns. Also I wish they made more smaller styles. I don't like to carry big bags. Tammy
ReplyDeleteIsland Blues!! Most definitely. =)
ReplyDeleteI suppose large flowers are "in" now?!
Wish Vera Bradley would come out with something different besides flowers on top of flowers. Think back to vintage Vera Bradley. Bring Alpine Black back.
ReplyDeleteI love Vera Bradley but I have to say, none of these are fantastic. :( this is the first season in a long time that I haven't liked them. They seem like they just added twists to old patterns and it doesn't do it for me. My personal favorites are Lemon Parfait and Happy Snails and none of theses patterns will be making the favorite list. :(
ReplyDeleteCamellia look slike someone vomited flowers
ReplyDeleteIt looks like the colors were resampled from past, retired patterns. :/
ReplyDeletei wish they would do maybe a koi pattern or cherry blossoms. i'm just not crazy about all the floral. i want to see something new! island blooms is nice and if ellie blue had more elephants it'd be great. but i dont think i'll be buying any of these. so far i havent bought anything since the fall 2011 launch :(
ReplyDeleteI love the island blooms pattern!
ReplyDeleteLove these and how in the world did people already purchase them? Not fair! lol
ReplyDeleteI'm gunna have to see them in person, I don't care for any of them personally. I need the summer 12 patterns to come out. Priscilla Pink here I come!
ReplyDeleteI definately like Ellie Blooms! If my mom would let me buy more Vera (which I highly doubt) that would be my first choice. I have to see Camelia in person to see If I would even like it. I hate Island Blooms and Rosy Posies, I.B looks like a modern version of Peacock, and Rosy Posies looks like Mesa Red, ewwww!
ReplyDeletei am not excited about any of the new colors or patterns for the whole 2012 collection. i feel we have seen the best of vera bradly, because the next 3 season lines are not anything very special. i thought viva la vera was the ugliest pattern ever, but now there are several that fall into ugly also.the most beautiful colors/patterns in my opinion are blue rhapsody, symphany in hue, mocha rouge, java blue, buttercup, safari sunset, boysenberry, folkloric, very berry paisley, night and day, purple punch, helo dahlia, twirly birds pink and navy, yellow bird, suzani....these all are unique and rich patterns and colors. what has happened to the talented team that created these past colors?? you need them back! just being honest....sincerely, marlys
ReplyDeleteI like the Island Blooms. Thanks for posting these!Vera Bradley has a survey that they send out to see what people think about the new colors.thanks sharing..
ReplyDeleteSooo fun, is rosy posy more pink in person or red? Love all the twirly birds pink! Thanks for help Ladies!
ReplyDeleteLove island blooms, I'm such ablack/white dresser, will pop!! Anoy Jan 20 , rosy posy and TWP will look smashing together, you'll be rocking in Power Pinks!!!
