Capital Challenge Walk MS

I realize posts have been a little light lately, so I just wanted to share why...We had a huge event at work last weekend.  Capital Challenge Walk MS is a two day walk where our participants raise $1,500 each and walk 30 miles over the weekend.  Here is a video wrap up of the event I thought that I would share with you.  Hope to get back to more regular posts this week.    I would love to hear what causes are important to you.  Share in the comments section below.

Vera Tote

I love my Vera tote! It was one of my first Vera Bradley bags.  It also works perfect for carrying around two Creative Memories Photo Albums! Two things that I love :) 

Over Labor Day I went to the Vera Bradley Outlet because they were having a 25% off sale! I didnt go with anything to buy in mind, but I did find some good stuff!  I got a Deco Daisy Angle Tote ($29), Call Me Coral Frannie ($16), Watercolor Pocket Cosmetic ($10), and a Barcelona Lizzy ($25).  I am most excited about the Lizzy.  I plan on taking it with me when I visit my sister in Ukraine in November.  It will be great for carrying around what I need, since I wont need too much.  It is dangerous living this close to the outlet store, I need to be careful! 

OhMyVera Business Cards!

Look what I just got! OhMyVera business cards!  Every once and a while when I am out and about I end up talking to someone about Vera Bradley and I wish that I had something to give them so that they can check out the blog...so now I have something to give them!

Vera Bradley Stadium Blanket

When you can't decide what color blanket to buy, just buy both! Although one is going to be going back, I just dont know which one yet, hence the reason they are both still in their bags.  I think that I want to keep Mocha Rouge, but then again, maybe I want to keep Happy Snails.

Stadium blankets are 57" x 49" 

It has mixed reviews online, some people think that it is a little small, over priced (on sale for $50, reg $65) and not as warm as it promises.  I have yet to open mine yet, so I only got to check it out at the store.  It is polyester on the print side, which I was kind of bummed about and the other side is fleece.  I would say that it is over priced for a fleece blanket, I would probably never go to a department store and spend that much on a small blanket.  Oh the things that I will buy with a Vera Bradley print.

My Current Favorite

It has been raining the last few days in DC.  It is safe to say that is rains way more here in DC than in San Diego!  Got me started thinking that I need a new leather bag to carry so that it will be waterproof.  In the mean time I am carrying my Vera Vera Convertible Tote.  I just make sure it is under my umbrella (Mod Floral Blue) so that it stays dry.  So currently I would have to say that it is favorite. I also love carrying my Happy Snails 3 Pocket Tote with it when I have too much stuff to carry back and forth to work...although most of the time I can fit it all in the Convertible Tote.  Today I had to bring my laptop home to do some additional work tonight since we have a huge event coming up in two weeks, it was nice that I was carrying a big enough bag that I could just throw it in my bag and not have to carry a boring black computer bag.

Vera Bradley Summer 2012 Preview - Priscilla Pink, Summer Cottage, Doodle Daisy & Limes Up

Vera Bradley is debuting colors and retiring them so quickly it is making my head spin! I feel like it was just yesterday that I was posting photos from Spring 2012! 

Vera Bradley had an online survey last week and here are the photos of the colors.  This is our first look at the colors, I can't wait to see them in person! 

Up first we have Summer Cottage: A sweet and dainty pattern expressing the lush foliage of summer.  Pretty petals and leaves in fresh shades of red, white, blue, yellow and green create a nostalgic, dreamy feel. So airy and light you can almost feel the summer breeze. 

Limes Up: A traditional wood block application in refreshed with bold florals and stirred up by a monochromatic pallet of intense green and turquoise. Deep black accents on a white background complement the primal aesthetic of this print.   

Priscilla Pink: Oversized foliage dripping in line and kelly green against contrasting hot pink.  Energetic leaves and florals create a traditional motif in unlikely brights. 

Doodle Daisy: Zizags, diamonds, triangles, and linear formations create a primitive feel on a playful assemblage of oversized blooms. Tonal water hues of blues and greens doodle away on these whimsical motifs.

Vera Bradley Middleton Collection

Vera Bradley's newest Limited Edition Collection is Middleton.  I normally dont like olive green, but these bags look sharp!  I saw them yesterday at the store and they look great.

What do you think of Middleton?
