Thursday Campus Launch Wrap Up

Last night I was able to attend Vera Bradley's Pajama-Rama party! I took my friends Amber and Tiffany with me and it was Tiffany's first time...I am sure it won't be her last. The party was a lot of fun, the store was packed!  We got to talk to a lot of other women who love Vera Bradley and talk about what upcoming items we are excited about, like the Disney bags coming out this fall.  We played truth or dare and I got called up and picked dare.  I had to make my best fish face, haha!  I think Amber took a video of it, so I will have to share that soon.  Another dare someone got was to sing the hokey pokey, but the whole store broke out in song.  We were also among the first 50 people in line (30 minutes early too!) so we were able to get a free Market Tote in Plum Crazy.   I ended up buying the pajama pants in Lola, earbuds in Paisley Meets Plaid and a luggage tag in Va Va Bloom!   We were able to check out new items, like the pajamas, travel coffee mugs and see the new bedding that will come out July 18.    I took photos during the event and they can be seen on Instragram: http://instagram.com/ohmyvera_official

Vera Bradley to Bring Back Pleated Tote and Villager for Limited Release

Exciting news: Vera Bradley is going to bring back the Pleated Tote and Villager for a limited release this winter! They have listened to all of us rave about these styles and say how much we miss them, so on November 7 they will be a part of the winter launch.  They are going to be available in Canterberry Magenta, Venetian Paisley, Heather, Plum Crazy and Midnight Blues! Each will retail for $68. This will be for a limited time, so if you want one, I wouldn't wait long to pick one up!  I think that I need one in Venetian Paisley and Plum Crazy.

Vera Bradley Shopping Purchases

I am a little late posting my latest purchases, but better late than never!  

I have found some really great deals online and two Saturday's ago I was greeted at the front door by the mailman holding these four packages.  It isn't all Vera Bradley, but they are all good deals.  The one that looks like it is about to explode is my English Rose Throw Blanket that I found on Ebay for just $33! I have been looking for one for a long time and was really excited to get such a good deal on it.  The small brown box next to that one is filled with folded up tissue pom poms for my friend Amber's bridal shower.  The box below that has a bridesmaid dress for my friend Olivia's wedding from Ideeli and the Rue La La box has the Very Berry Paisley Accordion Wallet I got for $15 and a KitchenAid grilling pan...what a combo! 

 I am going on a trip with my sister and I was wishing that Vera Bradley made a bag about the size of the Saddle Up with a zipper, then I had an Aha! moment, the On The Go.  This is the bag my mom loves and uses pretty much daily, so I guess I just never thought of it for myself.  So it was off to the Vera Bradley store to pick one up with my $25 off a $75 purchase coupon!

Since the bag is $70 I picked up a pack of Limes Up hair elastics for $6 to hit my $75+ to be able to use the coupon.  I didn't know it when I headed to the store, but they were also giving away a Market Tote with any purchase of $35 or more, so I picked one up to match my bag. 

 Here is the backside of the bag.  I like that it has a zipper along the back to secure items. 

The inside has three slip in pockets and a zipper pocket.  

Each end has a slip in pocket.  I can fit my iPhone 4S in the end and used the other side for my sunglasses when I was just running inside real quick and didn't want to put them away in their case.  Is there a bag that you ever overlooked, but then realized later it was a great bag for you to use?

Vera Sightings!

Last weekend was a busy one!  I went the Vera Bradley store on Sunday to pick up a new Vera Bradley Bag to take on vacation with me next week, ran a 5k, went to the zoo and a baseball game.  

I had a couple Vera sightings at the zoo.  One family was using a Plum Petals Get Carried Away bag as their baby bag and I saw a woman carrying a Betsy in Katherine, I have the Little Betsy in that color, so i was excited to see it! 

Next up is the baseball game.  Amber was nice enough to hold up my new bag while I snapped a photo with the field in the back.  I am loving my new On The Go, it is my first one and I have been using it all week! A post about the On The Go is coming up really soon!

 Here are my Summer Beauty favorites!  They are all from Nordstrom.com.  They have free shipping and free returns, plus right now they have double cash back through Ebates! I'm wearing the make up, but the sun was a little bright to be able to see it well. 

I love kicking off summer with a mani/pedi and nail polish from Essie's summer collection is perfect!  I love these colors, they remind me of Vera Bradley's Tutti Fruitti!  The colors included are Naughty Nautical, Sunday Funday, The More Merrier & Full Steam Ahead.

My favorite make up in the summer is Clinique's Almost Powder Makeup with SPF 15.  It is lightweight, giving me the perfect coverage for summer time and with my fair skin I appreciate that it has SPF 15.  Every little bit helps! 

Bobbi Brown's Pot Rouge for Lips and Cheeks is amazing because one compact has you covered for blush and lip tint.  I love that I can throw it in my purse and go! 

Want to #becolorful like your Vera Bradley bags this summer?  Then you need to try Estee Lauder's Sumptuous Extreme mascara in Extreme Violet!  I discovered this last summer and it is definitely one of my favorites.  Most people can't tell that I wearing a colored mascara, but if they get real close or the sun is shining just right on your lashes. It is a fun way to add a little color and be just a little different from everyone else. Perfect for when you are feeling a little Plum Crazy :)

Vera Bradley iPhone Cases in Retired Colors!

I posted this on Facebook last week, but never got around to posting it on the blog!

 

Tomorrow Vera Bradley will be releasing hardshell phone cases for the iPhone 4 & 5 in retired colors!  The iPhone 4 cases don't come in as many colors, but I don't mind because it comes in Pink Elephants! Can't wait to get my hands on one when I go to the Vera Bradley store this weekend.

Today the Vera Bradley Summer Sale goes from 25% off to 40% off!  Sale items will be in stores until July 8th or until they sell out.  

PLUS English Rose, Dogwood and Canyon are on sale for 25% off!  This sale is only at Vera Bradley stores and participating retailers.  It won't be online until later, but I haven't heard when that will be.
